TEACHING/WORK EXPERIENCE
Present Manager, Events at The Station, San Luis Obispo, CA
- Scheduling artists to teach at workshops, musicians, DJ's and food vendors, scheduling workshops, and scheduling staff.
- Taught a two-hour painting to a group of 20 Cal Poly students.
- Taught a two-hour painting to a group of 50 Cal Poly students.
- Teaching a two-hour painting workshop to beginning painters.
- Teaching weekly classes introducing Latino Artists art and new art techniques.
- Classes lead up to exhibitions and other shows to display the work of Latino Artists in the community.
- Responsible for Artists and Hostesses.
- Connecting with participants regarding reservations and cancellations.
- Ordered paint supplies.
- Worked along side instructor by helping up to 25 customers at a time with painting needs and occasional painting feedback.
- Trained new employees on POS system, taking orders, delivering orders, knowledge of menu, and performed cleanup duties.
- Managed business when the manager needed coverage.
- Prepared and implemented lesson plans each week. Teaching weekly two hour-long art classes with first graders for a 12-week period.
- Co-taught approximately 26 students at a time in both Spanish and English classes.
- Assisted customers of all ages with designing their pottery.
- Created an environment that customers repeatedly returned to.
- Loading and unloading the kiln, which kept the business running smoothly and the end products out on time.
