Part of the Nude Selfie Series. This project is meant to celebrate women's bodies and to illustrate that each and every body is beautiful. Her vision is that every woman will come to appreciate and love her own body. She continues to receive daily requests from women to draw or paint their "Selfies". Lemus' hope is that we move away from an unrealistic media ideal of women's bodies and move toward embracing the body that we have been blessed with.
The figures you see were inspired by "selfies" provided to Adriana Lemus by friends and collectors of her work. A “selfie” is a self-portrait photograph, taken with a digital camera or camera phone held in the hand extended up to capture most of the body, or by using a mirror.
This is a MADE TO ORDER PIECE and will take 3-6 weeks for production.
