Valentine's Mug Workshop Ticket!

$75.00

Join us for a beginner Valentine's Day themed clay workshop at Shindig Cider in San Luis Obispo! We will be making a ceramic mug to hold your favorite bevvy! You will learn the basics of working with clay using the slab construction method and decorating using stamps and glaze (paint)! Come solo, bring a friend, or make it a date night, whichever it is, you're guaranteed a fun time! Adriana Lemus will guide you through this intro to clay workshop!

The $75 fee includes cone 5 white clay, all materials and tools to use during the workshop, glaze and firing, instruction by an experienced ceramic artist, and your first glass of cider (for 21+)! Once your pottery is created, you will leave it with the instructor where she will take it back to her studio in San Luis Obispo to be fired, glazed (painted), and fired a second time. This process takes about 4-5 weeks. When complete, your piece will be brought back to Shindig to be picked up.

Adriana Lemus has over 16 years of pottery experience! She studied art at UC Berkeley and has been showing her work, selling, teaching private lessons, and teaching workshops on the Central Coast for the past seven years. Adriana sells her work at Makers Markets, online, and is currently working on commission work for restaurants, hotels, spas, and homes.

At Shindig Cider we're all about making good cider for good times. We focus on producing the kind of cider that we love to drink - dry, refreshing, and easy-going, while still highlighting the complexity and nuance of the variety of cider apples used in our blends. Crafted in San Luis Obispo, California, we produce everything in small batches, using thoughtfully sourced apples from all over the West Coast. Our ciders reflect the place in which they are made.

Due to limited seating, we have a strict 24-hour cancellation policy to reschedule or receive a refund. This will allow us to offer your spot to another guest. However, if you are sick or experiencing any flu like symptoms, we ask that you stay home and reschedule for a future workshop. Thank you for understanding.
