Valentine's Day Mug Workshop at Shindig Cider
Join us for a beginner Valentine's Day themed clay workshop at Shindig Cider in San Luis Obispo! We will be making a ceramic mug to hold your favorite bevvy! You will learn the basics of working with clay using the slab construction method and decorating using stamps and glaze (paint)! Come solo, bring a friend, or make it a date night, whichever it is, you're guaranteed a fun time! Adriana Lemus will guide you through this intro to clay workshop!
The $75 fee includes cone 5 white clay, all materials and tools to use during the workshop, glaze and firing, instruction by an experienced ceramic artist, and your first glass of cider (for 21+)! Once your pottery is created, you will leave it with the instructor where she will take it back to her studio in San Luis Obispo to be fired, glazed (painted), and fired a second time. This process takes about 4-5 weeks. When complete, your piece will be brought back to Shindig to be picked up.
Ceramic Oyster Plate Workshop
Join us for a beginner Ceramic Oyster Plate Workshop at Marcerro Restaurant at Dairy Creek Golf Course in San Luis Obispo! Morro Bay Oyster Co. will provide you with tasty oysters and Adriana Lemus will teach you how to make your own Ceramic Oyster Platter! You will learn the basics of working with clay using the slab construction method and decorating by sculpting and texturing clay.
The $100 ticket fee includes white stoneware clay, all materials and tools to use during the workshop, glaze and firing, instruction by an experienced ceramic artist, a welcome cocktail, AND three oysters! Once your platter is created, you will leave it with the Adriana, where she will take it back to her studio in San Luis Obispo to be fired, glazed (painted), and fired a second time. This process takes about 4-6 weeks. When complete, your pottery will be brought back to the Dairy Creek to be picked up.

You will learn the basics of working with clay using the slab construction method to create your one-of-a-kind porcelain charms and decorating your handmade charms with underglaze. Adriana Lemus from Night Owl Pottery will guide you through this intro to clay workshop, while Margot from Flying Colors Co. teaches you how to shuck and enjoy oysters! Bethel Road Distillery will provide you with the best-tasting beverages!
The $85 fee includes white porcelain clay, all materials and tools to use during the workshop, glaze and firing, instruction by an experienced ceramic artist, oyster shucking lesson, a half dozen oysters, AND a glass of wine or spirits tasting! Once your charms are created, you will leave them with the instructor, where she will take them back to her studio in San Luis Obispo to be fired, glazed clear (painted), and fired a second time. This process takes about 4-6 weeks however, we'll have them done before Christmas. When complete, your pottery will be brought back to the venue to be picked up.
